As you can tell from the name of the journal, we are another ranking site. We'll look over your journal and judge it based on the criteria listed below. But, what makes our ranking so different from the others on LiveJournal? Because we are determined to fairly rank journals without any bias. But, fair warning, we will not sugar-coat anything. If your journal is awesome, we'll tell you so.
But if it sucks, we won't hesitate to tell you that either.
There are four main things we look at in your journal and each is weighed differently when we come up with your final grade.
Layout : In our opinion, this is the most important part of any journal. This is where you really can express yourself. We want to see what you can do with your journal. Doesn't matter if you don't have a paid account. There are many different overrides you can use and we want to see them! Everything from scroll bars to hover effects.
Entries : Second most important part of any journal. They're the other place you can express yourself. We want to be interested (even if you may not think your life is that interesting). We don't want to see only quiz entries either... those get very boring very quickly. Also, and this is very important. If your journal is 'friends only', you MUST add the maintainers to your friends list, or unlock at least five entries for us. If there are no entries for us to grade, it will lower your grade.
User Info & Icons : These are the last two areas of criteria. Neither should make us bored, but we do understand that people may not want to write out their life story in their profile. But, don't bore us either. And, we want to see unique and fun icons.
Just like school, you'll get graded from A to F, and a final Unrateable category. The only way you'll get an unrateable is if either maintainer can't be objective when looking at your journal or you haven't followed our rules.
Posting in the community is restricted to the maintainers. However, if you are one of the lucky ones who earn at least a C+, you will be given commenting rights. You will be able to comment on journals that we've rated, giving your two cents.
If you have not been rated at a C+ or higher and post, you will be banned from the community. It is as simple as that.
